Getting someone to smile again or restoring function to compromised teeth are only two of the many reasons why I love being a dentist. I want to get to know each patient personally, and I understand there is an individual attached to each set of teeth. It is my goal to take the time to talk and get to know you, and make each visit as comfortable as possible.
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Science in Biology – Hope College, 1996
- Doctorate of Dental Surgery – University of Michigan Dental School, 2000
Following graduation, I worked at Cherry Health Services, providing dental treatment to an underserved population. I was able to gain valuable experience with many dental procedures and gained a passion for helping people.
In order to seek new information on a wide range of topics from periodontal disease to new restorative materials and implants, I continue my education throughout the year. My patients deserve the best treatment possible, and through continuing education, I am able to provide that.
- American Dental Association
- Michigan Dental Association
- West Michigan District Dental Society
Outside the Office
A native of Jenison, MI, I currently reside in Hudsonville with my wife, Nicole, who is also a dentist. We have two wonderful children, Sofia and Liam. My family and I have a strong connection to the beautiful area in which we live, and love spending as much time outdoors as possible. Whether we’re backpacking, cycling, skiing, or climbing, we’re happiest when we’re outside!
